Ring Size Guide

Our rings are listed in Omani sizing — the size number our workshop and our branches use. On every ring you will see it written like 16 / 8: the first number is the Omani size, the second is the approximate US equivalent.

Order by the first number. That is the size that is actually stamped and stocked.

The surest way to get it right

  • Visit any Falaq Jewellery branch. Our staff will measure your finger on a proper ring sizer in under a minute. This is free, and it is the only method that is exact.
  • Already own a ring that fits? Bring it in, or send us a message and we will help you match it to an Omani size.
  • Buying as a gift? Borrow a ring she already wears from the same finger. If you are unsure, size 16 is the most commonly bought size for women in Oman, and 18 to 20 for men.

Approximate size conversion

Omani US (approx.) Omani US (approx.)
9 5 18 9
10 19
11 20 10
12 6 21 10¼
13 22 10½
14 7 23 11
15 24 11½
16 8 25 12
17 26 12½

The US column is offered as a guide only. Sizing systems do not line up perfectly between countries, so where a conversion falls between two US sizes we have rounded to the nearest quarter. If you know only your US size and want to be certain, please contact us before ordering rather than relying on the table.

A note on fit

Fingers change size through the day and with the weather — they are usually smallest in the early morning and in cold weather, largest in the afternoon and in the heat. Measure in the middle of the day for the truest fit. A ring should slide on with light pressure and need a gentle tug to come off over the knuckle.

Rings marked "Free" size

Some of our designs are open-backed or adjustable and are listed as Free size. These are made to fit a range of fingers and do not need a size to be chosen.

Still unsure?

Message us or visit any of our four branches across the Sultanate. We would much rather measure your finger properly than have you guess.
